Under the general supervision of the Head Coach, coaches are responsible for the day to day progress, encouragement and growth of paddlers. Senobe coaches play an integral role in the development of young children and athletes by demonstratng a strong commitment to health and physical actvity and by creating an environment of pride at Senobe. Coaches work as part of a broader team by working with other summer staff and volunteers.
Coaches organize, plan and conduct individual and team practces, training camps and compettons. Administratve dutes include preparing the individual training plans for athletes, communicatng with parents and athletes as well as selectng crews, submitng entries for and representng the club at regatas.
The “Learn to Paddle Camp” Coordinator is responsible for planning, leading, and implementing three, two-week camps for children aged 7-11 years. Responsible for the general safety and development, personal growth, and skill achievement of the participants in his/her group. The incumbent will provide high quality outdoor educational and recreational experiences for participants that focus on Senobe’s core values of safety, athleticism, fun and family.
The lifeguard is responsible to oversee the safe usage of the private club beach and swim area and to offer first aid to those in need. Administrative duties include the regular update of logs and incident reports as necessary. Leadership experience, effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
